Chaplaincy

Primary and Secondary Schools/ Sixth Form

Chaplaincy is a growing and vital part of the life of the Church in the schools, colleges and universities of our Diocese.

NORES provides direct support for Chaplains working in primary and secondary schools through running Chaplaincy Training and Consultation Days.  Support, facilitation, training and advice can also be made available on a local level. The NORES team is currently developing a plan to support and resource chaplains following a Chaplaincy Consultation Day in July 2007.

Nationally the Association of Catholic Chaplains in Education (ACCE) also provides resourcing, networking and support.

Higher Education

An informal network currently exists between Chaplains in Higher Education and we hope to be able to develop this further in the months and years ahead.
